What is a story, when it moves through time and history, when it moves through bodies? The story is always in danger of dying, until picked up and given new movement into new contexts. Where does the new begin? Where does the old go? Through several years, vocalist Live Maria Roggen and pianist Ingfrid Breie Nyhus have investigated duo music that was once romantic music. Through time, body, forgetfulness, fallibility – and the method of improvisation – the music has merged with the inner sound, the duo’s body and its whims, derailments and backtracks. Where will the story live, in the next moment?
